The Print Processes

Screen Printing
By far the most popular process used to decorate promotional material. Products including T-shirts, pens, plastic and ceramic products can be decorated with this particular printing method. The numbers of colours and the quantity of prints dictates the job cost. In the majority of instances pricing remains unaffected by the size of the print, so usually it’s the print area of the product that’s the only limiting factor to any given design.
Our in house print facility ensures we have complete control from design to finished product.
Transfer printing
Typically used for lower volume applications or smaller promotions. Various different processes can be utilised.
Inkjet or Laser Printing
Any good original ‘high resolution’ digital image, including photographs, can be reproduced and printed to a garment via a special carrier paper, applied using a heat press. Good ‘scanned’ images can also be used. Ideal for gift products: Mugs, coasters, picture frames as well as stag & hen party products.

Sublimation Printing

A whole host of products including mugs, coasters, t-shirts and mousemats can have images and photographs applied by this sublimation process. Any good, preferably digital format, original image can be reproduced although once again, it may be possible to utilise good ‘scanned’ images.

Pad Printing

Used to decorate mass produced promotional items, particular irregularly shaped objects like china plates and pottery, pad printing is used where only a very small print area is available. Originating from the ‘miniaturisation’ of the watch making industry, it is used where reproduction of very fine detail is requisite.

DTG (Direct to garment)

This is one of the latest innovations in the promotions industry, and as the name suggests the print is applied directly to the garment using a form of digital inkjet technology.
Ideally suited for short run multi colour work, it dispenses with the costly set up fees associated with other processes.
